Iran’s presidential election an inspiration for Islamic countries: Indian Politician

Hailing Iran for successfully conducting presidential elections every four years, since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, an Indian leader Friday termed it as an inspiration for those Islamic countries still believing in monarchy.

In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Tasleem Ahmed Rehmani, President, Muslims Political Front said by such moves, Iran has proved that Islam is full of democracy.

He noted that absolute Islamic system of governing, on which Iran is successfully moving on, is based upon three fundamentals, consultation, responsibility and accountability.

Indian politician was of the view that Iran by conducting elections has given a befitted reply to the Western propaganda against Islam, which says there is no democracy exists in Islamic governance. “Urging people to come to the poll and elect the government of their own choice, the Islamic government of Iran has proved that there is no concept of dictatorship in Islam and Islam doesn’t believe in any kind of Monarchy,” he added.

Tasleem Ahmed maintained that the broad presence of Iranian people at the polls will lead to frustration and disappointment of the arrogant powers, especially the US and the Zionist regime.

He also praised the Iranian leadership and the people that by their acts, have repeatedly disappointed the bullying powers.

He further wished for the peaceful conduct of the presidential election in Iran.
