TEHRAN (FNA) - Muslims throughout the world are marking the holy month of Ramadan, the holiest month in Islamic calendar during which all fast from dawn till dusk.

Pakistan has been the scene of nationwide rallies against Myanmar's mistreatment of Rohingya Muslims. In Lahore, Jamat-e-Islami party has started a campaign to push the Muslim world to take urgent action against the persecution of Muslims in the South East Asian country.

Political tension rising in Peshawar

Opposition parties have staged a protest against the northwestern provincial government led by Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf Party. This, over alleged vote-rigging in the recent local elections.
