Iran transfers batch of Emad missiles to new underground missile town

Iran has transferred its recently tested ballistic missile, Emad, to a new underground tunnel facility, images showed on Tuesday.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani made a visit to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)'s new underground missile town today during which he vowed the legislature would allocate a much bigger budget to the country's missile program.

The images and footages released after the visit indicated that the IRGC has transferred a large number of Emad missiles to the deep underground base.

It is the second underground missile town that Iran is displaying in the past few months.

Iran in October unveiled a deep underground tunnel facility packed with missiles and launcher units a few days after testing the long-range Emad missile.

After unveiling the underground depot for the first time, IRGC Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami said, "That was one of our oldest stockpiles and we haven’t yet shown our modern missile depots, where missiles with big cross sections have been stockpiled."
