Archeological accord With German institute

The Research Center of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) and German Archaeological Institute have signed a five-year agreement on Oct. 4.

Announcing the above, Sousan Cheraghchi, the research center’s director for communications and international cooperation, said the agreement was signed in Tehran in a ceremony attended by experts from the center and the representatives of Foreign Ministry and ICHHTO’s Department for International Affairs, CHTO reported.

She noted that bilateral cooperation in the fields of archeology and anthropology, and implementation of joint research projects are the main subjects of the agreement.

Using the laboratories facilities of Iran and Germany and exchanging researchers and students are other components of the contract.

Speaking in the signing ceremony, Parisa Mohammadi, the head of ICHHTO’s Research Center, said conducting researches in the field of Iranian culture and civilization will help establish scientific and cultural relations between not only the two institutes but also the people of Iran and Germany.

Mohammadi noted that the influence of Iranian culture is not restricted to its geographical borders and encompasses a large number of regional and trans-regional countries.
