According to Press TV citing WOWK, the shooting occurred in the Comfort area of Boone County on Joe’s Creek Road at around 9 a.m.
Investigators believed that the man shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself. The wife was found with at least two gunshot wounds.
Children, ages 6 and 10, ran screaming from the home, a neighbor said. The children were later placed in a foster home by Child Protective Services.
Two pistols were recovered from inside the home, state police said.
