Minister Stresses Iran's Ability to Produce, Supply Medical Needs

Iranian Health Minister Marziyeh Vahid Dastjerdi underlined Iran's full ability to produce and supply the country's medical needs.

According to FNA, Dastjerdi said on Monday "At present we have no problem in area of the domestic production of medicines, supply of the raw materials for some imported drugs and a number of drugs which are imported from abroad."

Iran has taken wide strides in science and technology, particularly in medical and medicinal fields, in recent years.

Iran has witnessed astonishing progress in medical sciences, and the country ranks the 19th in the world in this field. Iran's advancement in medical sciences is indebted to the efforts made by the country's young researchers.
