According to IRNA, he made the remarks in a meeting with UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guterres in Tehran on Saturday and said that despite heavy costs, the Iranian nation has hosted the Afghan refugees due to its compliance with humanitarian and Islamic principles.
He added that the UN and international community must help Afghanistan to create educational infrastructures paving the way for the return of refugees to their homeland.
Antonio Guterres for his part evaluated as positive the cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and voiced UNHCR's preparedness for enhancement of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
