According to IRIB, Hojjatollah Souri said on Friday “With this move, countries that claim to uphold freedom of speech, human rights and the necessity of expanding communication and information revealed their arrogant nature to the people of the world and announced what serves their national interests is considered … human rights and what goes against their interests will be met with a harsh response from them.”
He added that dozens of Western channels are working in Iran and many of them target the culture and beliefs of Iranians.
He continued “But these countries cannot tolerate 19 Iranian international satellite channels and this shows that these 19 channels belonging to the Islamic Republic are more influential than … Western ones.”
