Iranian deputy foreign ministers, Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi held talks on Thursday with European Union deputy foreign policy chief, Helga Schmid, who represents the P5+1 countries in Vienna, on the text of a possible comprehensive deal on Tehran’s nuclear program.
Meanwhile, expert-level talks are also underway between the two sides on the second day of the latest round of negotiations.
Reports say chief US negotiator Wendy Sherman will later arrive in Vienna to join the talks.
The negotiations are based on a mutual understanding reached between the two sides in the Swiss city of Lausanne in April.
Tehran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - Russia, China, France, Britain, and the United States – plus Germany (P5+1) are seeking to finalize a comprehensive deal on the Iranian nuclear program by June 30.
