Plane crash in southeastern Iran not a terror attack: Commander

Commander of Iran's Border Guards Qassem Rezaei said on Sunday that the plane crash in southeastern Iran was not a terror attack.

Speaking to reporters, he said that Iranian police plane crash on Saturday was an air disaster.

An Iranian police plane crashed late on Saturday killing four senior officers.

All seven officers on board were martyred when the twin-engine turboprop commander aircraft crashed in the mountains outside Sistan-Baluchestan's provincial capital of Zahedan.

Two generals including Mahmoud Sadeqi, a senior officer in charge of investigations were among the dead. They were on a mission from Tehran to investigate the killing of four Iranian police officers in the province.

The wreckage of the aircraft has been found, however, the cause of the crash remains to be found out later.
