Majlis Supports 20% Uranium Enrichment Print
Monday, 08 February 2010 10:43

Majlis representatives have announced all-out support for the executive order of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in terms of the starting 20 percent uranium enrichment.

According to IRIB, the president ordered the country's Atomic Energy Organization to launch due efforts to attain the necessary fuel for Tehran Research and Medical Nuclear Reactor.

The head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Dr Ali Akbar Salehi, said that Tehran will embark on due enrichment activities as of Tuesday and that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is informed in this regard, today (Monday).

The Iran's president, however, noted that the Islamic Republic is still ready to enter into fuel swap deal with the supplying countries, following which the Majlis announced unanimous support for the move.
