Iran studies center opens in Tajikistan University Print

On the eve of the 31st anniversary of Iran's Islamic Revolution victory, Iran Studies Center inaugurated in Tajikistan Medical University.

According to IRNA, in the opening ceremony on Saturday, Iran's Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali Asghar Sher-Doust said the aim behind this effort is to acquaint university students with common culture of the two countries and Iran's scientific and cultural works.

He added although Iran and Tajikistan have a common culture and language, and "we should introduce our culture, civilization and contemporary scientific achievements to the young generation."

Iran's embassy has opened studies centers in several Tajikistan universities such as Agricultural University, Melli University, Trade University, Amouzgari University, Foreign Language University and Slaviani University.
