Iran's Call on UN

Sample ImageThe Islamic Republic of Iran's permanent UN representative in a letter to the UN secretary general and rotational Security Council chairman has pointed to the catastrophic situation of Palestinians, especially Gaza's 1.
5 million besieged residents, calling for immediate measures to defuse the crisis.

Mohammad Khazaie wrote in his letter that the UN and Security Council's lack of action toward criminal actions of the usurper state of Israel has encouraged it to continue its crimes and threaten those regional countries that express solidarity with the Palestinians.

More than 1.5 million Palestinians have been living in miserable conditions for the past two years due to the Zionist Regime siege on this area. The world community's efforts to help the Gazans have remained fruitless due to this regime's pressure; thus the world community is deeply concerned about this and the illegal Zionist entity might even resort to new tricks to deceive world public opinion. Israel is also a threat to the entire world's peace and security due to its terrorist and occupying nature. It is also the only possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East. Undoubtedly the world powers' double standards toward human rights and terrorism have led to such threats and injustice .Thus the international community requires a collective will to confront the roots of injustices and the first step in this line is to determine and condemn injustice and oppression in any part of the world. That is what is seriously expected of the UN, and the Iranian permanent UN representative's letter to the UN secretary general and rotational Security Council chairman is an emphasis on this real demand of the international community.
